21-year-old Baltimore Country man dies after being beaten up by police officers.

Tawon Boyd, a 21-year-old man from Essex, Maryland, was hospitalized after a fight with police, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police were called at 3AM on Sunday to the first block of Akin Circle in Middle River on a report of a disturbance. Boyd was found “confused and paranoid, sweating heavily.”

According to the police Boyd refused to obey orders and began fighting officers, but victim’s family and Deona Styron, his fiance, tell a different story:

“He on the ground, 5 other officers on top of him, and not only that, one police officer got his arm around his neck like this, punching him, punching, him and throughout the whole thing he’s like I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe…”

There is no way you can twist this story to justify the police beating this kid to death. Police were called to help, but they ended up killing the guy. There is no excuse - they’re supposed to serve and protect and they have to be able to deal with all kinds of people. Not everyone is mentally stable, not everyone is white, but that does not give you the right to beat them to death!

Richard Sherman Wants To Talk About Police Shootings, Not The Game

Richard Sherman took the stage to let the reporters and the world know his thoughts on peaceful protests by people who are kneeling during the National Anthem. He refused to answer any questions and  used the forum to address recent fatal police shootings of black men in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and in Charlotte, North Carolina, and to talk about the importance of the national anthem protests against police violence led by the 49ers’ Colin Kaepernick and other NFL athletes.

This is what everyone needs to understand. It is an act to bring awareness to the social issues and to start doing something about it. People are dying in the streets from the hands of the police officers and there is nothing done about it. This problem is not even acknowledged by the society. This has to stop.

Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) is one of the best written characters and is a saint.  She is a wonderful mother.  You see that her son has a password for his fort.  She remembered the password and respected his rules, and he trusts her with the password.

You see the pride she has in providing things her kids love despite her low income.  “what kind of a mother can’t afford markers?”  You can tell it’s a struggle and that she wants the best for her kids.  Will is missing a red crayon and not only is she is taking an interest in his art, she cant stand to see him limited.

I love she knew where Jonathan wanted to go to college since he was 6.  My mom cant tell you things like that.

She’s over worked and underpaid but she takes the time to pay attention to her kids.

These scenes just break my heart and anchor her and us as the audience in her search for her missing son.

Fear

sadisticgames:

Horror movies, roller coasters, extreme sports, scary fantasies.

Why are we always looking for the next thing that’ll scare us, that’ll get our adrenaline going?

It’s funny, because when I was growing up and first developed an interest in BDSM, I was sure that there was something wrong with Me. But I didn’t feel the same way about My love of horror movies, roller coasters, or sending Myself careening down a steep hill on a skateboard with high traffic at the bottom… How the hell did I survive My youth?

Anyway, as I said, while exploring BDSM from a submissive standpoint, I was always chasing that next rush, the next thing that would, basically, scare Me. So how is that different than looking for the next big roller coaster?

Well, it isn’t, and science is getting really good at telling us why. I’m sure you’ve all heard of adrenaline junkies and thrill chasers. This is the same thing. We’re chasing thrills, we want that adrenaline, and more to the point, we want the endorphins.

I’m not going to go into deep science, but think of it like this. When your body gets hurt or scared, it needs a defense, something to block the pain and/or fear and keep you from freaking out. Queue the endorphin. They not only block pain, but trigger feelings of pleasure. It’s the bodys home grown narcotic.

When someone says that pain is pleasure, they aren’t kidding. Our bodies are actually set up to mask pain and fear with pleasure.

So the next time you’re thinking that you must be crazy for liking this stuff, remember that it’s natural for you to feel a rush of pleasure when confronted with something that scares you. Why else would coaster parks and horror franchises be doing so well?
